Case 1

This patient was a late referral, she needed some Class II correction while she is in the tail end of growth, however, the UR3 was still only partially erupted.

At bond up the Esmail Eruptor was bonded and 014" NiTi was fully ligated.

After 6 weeks the UR3 has fully erupted.

The Esmail Eruptor was then removed and bonded with a conventional bracket and treatment can now progress to further archwire changes and Class II correction.

Case 2

In this case the treatment was nearing the end and the deciduous second molars were late to exfoliate. Only a small amount of the upper right and lower right second premolar were present, the Esmail Eruptor was bonded and an 014" niti was ligated

Approximately 6 weeks, both second premolars have sufficiently erupted to allow bracket placement.

The Esmail Eruptor was removed and conventional brackets were bonded, the case is now very close to completion.

Case 3
We started opening space to allow this impacted canine to erupt.

An Esmail Eruptor was bonded and 0.014” was ligated.

Patient attended 6 weeks later and the canine has fully erupted

The Esmail Eruptor was then removed and replaced with a bracket and the case can now continue to some Class II correction.

Case 4
Bonding a bracket on the canine here would only allow very limited activation of the niti wire, even if the wire placed above the bracket
Prototype eruptor was bonded and 0.014” was ligated
After 6 weeks, prototype eruptor removed and conventional bracket was bonded.
Case 5
Canine tip is just visible.
Prototype eruptor was bonded and 0.014” was ligated.
6 weeks later the canine has sufficiently erupted
Conventional bracket bonded on the FA point.
